Travis Reed has been a board-certified veterinary surgeon for over 9 years. Dr. Reed grew up on a small farm in the northern aspect of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula and worked with their farm veterinarian during high school. He attended Michigan State University for his undergraduate studies as well as veterinary school. Dr. Reed’s additional training in surgery included a rotating internship at the Ontario Veterinary College; a surgical internship at Veterinary Specialists of Rochester, New York; and a surgical residency program at Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists in Annapolis and Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Reed returned to the Midwest in 2015 to work at the Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center. He currently lives in Milwaukee and provides mobile surgery services - brining his specialty surgical equipment to perform surgery at general practice family veterinary clinics. Dr. Reed also provides relief services and locum work at veterinary surgical centers.
Dr. Reed has always been a strong advocate for his patients and his team, ensuring the best care for your pet. He believes communication with pet parents is critical to ensure they are aware of the decisions they are making for their pet and properly prepared to care for their pet after surgery.
In his spare time, Dr. Reed enjoys spending time with his partner and their dog Theo. He also enjoys sailing, gardening, wine education, cooking, and board games.
